Hello everyone. It's been a while since we've posted anything-my how the time flies! Four months ago we moved to Houston, Texas. We've lived in an apartment for four months and we recently moved into a new home. We're so excited to finally be in a house and to have our things out of storage and unpacked. It's so nice to have a place we can call "home".

Today started out rainy and cold. We were going to go to the Houston Rodeo but changed our plans due to the weather. We ended up driving to a nearby town called Katy which is 20 minutes away. We ate lunch at A & W (we love their root beer) and went to the local mall and walked around. We found a pair of brown summer sandals for Sydney. I know it seems a little early for sandals, but it was warm here last week and Sydney loves to wear sandals and her silver ones from last year are looking too small. Now we'll be ready when it gets hot. I spent a good hour early this morning looking through pictures we've taken of Sydney since she was born and it's amazing how fast she has grow up. My how the time flies! And speaking of flying, we spent the afternoon flying a kite since the rain stopped and the sun was out and the flags near our home were waving. Levi and Sydney did a great job keeping the dragon kite in the air. The gave me a turn and of course the kite crashed into a tree. Levi was able to get it back in the air without too much trouble or damage, but really I felt kind of silly about not being able to keep the kite up on such a windy day. Oh well, not all dragons are flying dragons.

I haven't updated this in a while. Mom and Gordon are here for Christmas and we've had a very good time so far.

We did it...

Over the weekend Jenny and I were brave enough to try our hand at laying tile. And we did it. You be the judge, but we think it looks pretty good. We had to replace the dry wall being as tall as I am, I tend to splash water on to the drywall above the shower. The paint was starting to peel and it didn't look good. So we tore it all out. Jenny really was a lot of help. We wanted to do a diamond pattern but quickly decided that beginners should start with a simpler pattern, so we went with rows. It's a pretty tumbled marble.

For past two weeks I've been leading a facility of around 100 employees and training them on a new process we'll be using to capture some data for the Air Force (I'm a contractor working for IHS, Inc. doing contracting work for Warner Robins Air Force Base). It has been a great job and I really enjoy what I'm doing.

Sydney has been doing gymnastics for a few weeks now and really enjoys it. The only problem is when I go because she spends more time watching me that I'm watching her than she does on the narrow beam in front of her. Please allow us to introduce ourselves: our names are Levi and Jenny. Levi and I have been married for eight years.

I (Levi) find great fulfillment in my job. In my professional responsibilities there are few things more exciting to me than going home at the end of the day knowing that I solved a new problem or found a way to improve the factory. I enjoy playing basketball, volunteering with the Boy Scouts, reading, fishing, working on home projects, and watching an occasional basketball game on TV. Before completing college, I served a mission for my church and spent two years living in Argentina. It was a wonderful experience—full of trying situations and joyful events. The one thing that I learned most is that there is no substitute for hard work. I work very hard to give my wife and child a good life. I love my wife very much and there is nothing in my life I place above her. I want you to know why I love Jenny so much. Jenny is such a patient and kind person; she makes me feel so good when I’m around her. I know there is nothing she would not do for me. Jenny is my best friend and is the sweetest, gentlest person I’ve known.

I (Jenny) am a stay-at-home mom. Although I worked for many years as a Registered Nurse, I stopped working once my husband finished college. Levi is a very hard worker and has helped make my life more comfortable and enjoyable. I love him so much and am blessed to share my life with someone who is so smart and talented. I love that Levi is so family oriented and is so willing to spend his time with our daughter Sydney and I when he could be spending time away from us. He is very understanding and really puts life in perspective. Besides spending time with my family, I enjoy scrapbooking, reading, and cooking. I like to watch sports with my husband and our whole family enjoys movies. I love to go on family day trips and I love the beach. My primary goal is to raise a good family who become responsible and considerate citizens. I would also like to continue to volunteer in the church and community. My purpose and dream is for my children to enjoy their lives and prepare for the opportunities ahead.

Our six year old daughter, Sydney is full of personality. She loves following mom everywhere and helping with everything mom and dad are doing. She loves dancing, singing, playing kitchen, dressing up, playing games, reading books, coloring, and all the other things little girls like to do. Sydney can’t make up her mind if she wants a brother or sister, but she knows that she wants a sibling. She will be a great big-sister.

Wherever we have lived we’ve always enjoyed the local attractions. While living in California, we would visit National parks—like Yosemite and Sequoia, the beach, and Disneyland. Now that we live in Georgia, we have taken a liking to Savannah, Tybee Island, the sights in Atlanta, and the local attractions. We enjoy spending time outside and look forward to a garden with lots of fresh vegetables.

We would like to be able to share our home and life with another child. We are excited to add to our family and provide a nurturing home. Simply put, there is something not whole to us and we are prayerful that God will help us find a child to join our family. We will strive each day to provide a child with a life of opportunity, comfort, support and love.
